welcome!

Hi! My name is Sylvia, i’m 23 years old and i live with CFS, Autism, ADHD, anxiety and IBS… yeah that’s not how i’d usually introduce myself lol. It’s fitting for this though, cause on this blog i’ll mainly write about my experience with, and thoughts about living with these disabilities. I need an outlet… badly. A place to vent my frustrations, write out my thoughts, but also share the nice moments in my life. It will mainly be a simple diary type blog and will by no means be perfect, cause i am not perfect. I am just a random person ranting, which is why i’d like to make it clear that this blog is not a credible source of information. I am educated on my disabilities but in no way an expert.

Next to it being an outlet i’ve also wanted to make a blog because i don’t see much relatable content like this from people living with CFS, there are plenty of sites with information about the condition, but i haven’t come across many blogs that just share the thoughts and day to day life of someone with CFS, especially not of someone who also has neurodivergencies. Of course there is content on social media and platforms like reddit, but places like that are becoming increasingly overstimulating to me and it feels less personal. I wouldn’t be surprised if other people felt the same. If you’re reading this chances are high that you yourself either have CFS, general fatigue issues, neurodivergencies or another disability that drastically impacts your daily life. If so you know how lonely it can get. How isolated and cut off you can feel from the rest of society. Which is why i hope me writing this blog will give you a sense of relatableness (is that a word?), because we’re not alone, there are so many people going through the same thing and i hope we can help make each other feel more seen.

Ps. The blog is called Headphone Time because it is what me and my boyfriend call it when we’re overstimulated and need time to rest with noise cancelling headphones on. I think it’s fitting lol.
